Dog Food Transition Planner
A seven-day chart assumes every dog is the same. Enter when you are starting and how your doodle handles change, and get dated steps you can actually follow.
Tell this tool which food you are moving to and how sensitive your doodle's stomach is, and it gives you the old-to-new ratio for each day of the switch. Most transitions run 7 to 10 days; a sensitive doodle or a jump to raw needs longer, and the plan stretches accordingly.
Food transition planner
Enter the day you're starting and how sensitive your doodle is. You get dated steps instead of a generic seven-day chart.
Your schedule · 8 days
| When | Dates | Old food | New food |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1–2 | Tue, Sep 8 – Wed, Sep 9 | 75% | 25% |
| Day 3–4 | Thu, Sep 10 – Fri, Sep 11 | 50% | 50% |
| Day 5–6 | Sat, Sep 12 – Sun, Sep 13 | 25% | 75% |
| Day 7–8 | Mon, Sep 14 – Tue, Sep 15 | 0% | 100% |
The rule that matters: if the stool softens at any step, do not advance. Hold at that ratio for an extra day or two until it firms up, then carry on. A transition that takes longer than planned has not failed — one that gets pushed through has.
